Sun Guard -Adding Ultraviolet Protection to Fabrics and Clothing Sun Guard washes in a Sun Shield to clothing. SunGuard washes in an invisible chemical shield, called Tinosorb, into fabrics and clothing.
(from Sun Guard website):
SunGuard can boost the UPF protection of a white cotton T-shirt from UPF 5 to UPF 30.
Add one package of SunGuard to a warm or hot water laundry load along with laundry detergent and you wash in skin protection for up to 20 washings.
SunGuard won’t change the color or comfort of clothing and is safe for even the most sensitive skin.
SunGuard will not change the texture, color or comfort of your clothes, even after repeated treatments.
The effectiveness of SunGuard on fabrics is the same wet or dry.
